Calgary is 0 4 1 ATS in its last five trips to Winnipeg and last year’s victory at Canad Inns Stadium was just its first outright win there in those five games. The total has gone ’over’ in four of the last six meetings overall. Blue Bomber quarterback Buck Pierce turned in a much better performance last week against Toronto with a 61.7 percent completion rate after completing just 46.1 percent of his passes in Week 1.

Saskatchewan won both games against Hamilton last season. It covered as an eight point home favorite in Week 5 with a 37 24 victory and then went on the road as a 1.5 point underdog to squeeze out 32 25 victory in Week 13. The total went ’over’ the 55 point line the first time they met and ’over’ the 53.5 point line in Game 2.
The Roughriders have gotten the best of the Tiger Cats the past few seasons with nine wins in 10 games SU and an 8 2 record ATS. The total has gone ’over’ in nine of the last 12 meetings in Hamilton. Both teams come into this game with a long list of players on the injured list including WR Rob Bagg for Saskatchewan and WR Aaron Kelly for the Tiger Cats.
British Columbia Lions at Edmonton Eskimos ( 2.5)These two played three times in 2010, with BC splitting the two games in Edmonton. First, the Lions posted a 25 10 victory as a four point road underdog on opening day and then dropped a 28 25 decision in Week 5 as a two point road dog. The Eskimos won the season series with a 31 28 overtime victory as a six point road underdog in mid October.
BC is 4 1 ATS in its last five games at Commonwealth Stadium. The total has gone ’over’ in five of the last six meetings in Edmonton and in six of the last seven games overall. The Lions’ defensive secondary took a hit when Stanley Franks went down with a season ending knee injury in the loss to Calgary. Edmonton slotback Fred Stamps is off to a fast start with 212 rushing yards on just 10 carries.

The NFL Network is currently going through a list of the top 100 players in the NFL today as voted on by the players. It’s entertaining and a great time filler with not much going on in the world of the NFL. The labor dispute and lockout has forced us NFL fans to look else where to find off season entertainment. Some of us have taken up fantasy sports such as fantasy World’s Strongest Man and LPGA. Other’s of us that are more adventurous have taken up weekend warrior hobbies such as spelunking and extreme couponing.
Then there’s me I took up writing at possibly the worst time in Philly sports, NHL playoffs, done for the Flyers, NBA playoffs, Sixers never had a chance, MLB, Phillies are where everyone expected them to be and the NFL is basically non existent. In my brain storm for topics below is my first idea: The top five NFL quarterbacks without a super bowl ring. Obviously my opinion has turned out to be completely wrong. Matt Ryan took over a team that was recovering from the Michael Vick fall out and he instantly became the new face of the franchise. He was handed the starting spot in his first season, starting all 16 games and finishing the season with an 87.7 quarterback rating. He has guided the Falcons to two playoff appearances and has brought Atlanta back to contender status. Through three seasons in the NFL Ryan has been very durable, starting 46 of 48 regular season games and he has thrown for 10,061 yards, 66 touchdowns to 34 interceptions while completing 60.8% of his passes. The Falcons recently surrounded Matty Ice with a few more weapons and I expect continued success.

He has back to back 4,000 + passing yard seasons and has thrown 53 touchdowns to only 27 interceptions since 2008. The Houston offense can play with anyone, but their lack of any defense at all has equaled little success for the Texans. If they can correct the defensive side of the ball, Matt Schaub and the Texans could become the new kings of the AFC South.
2. Michael Vick, Philadelphia Eagles:
Out of football while serving time in prison for his involvement in a dog fighting ring, Michael Vick paid his debt. Upon his release and reinstatement to the NFL, Andy Reid and the Eagles took a chance on Vick and that Gamble has paid off. Vick started last season as the backup to Kevin Kolb, but that soon changed and Vick earned the position after Kolb went down due to injury. Michael Vick has become a complete NFL quarterback under the Eagles coaching staff, he can now make the reads and the throws which makes him the most dangerous quarterback in the NFL. He can beet you in the pocket and out of the pocket with his arm and his legs. Vick lead the Eagles to an NFC East title and a playoff appearance last season posting career marks with 3,018 yards, 21 touchdowns to only 6 interceptions for a career best 100.2 quarterback rating. He also ran for 676 yards and 9 touchdowns on 100 carries. He is the most dynamic player in the NFL and with him the Eagles are instant contenders.
1. Phillip Rivers, San Diego Chargers:
The Chargers selected a pouting Eli Manning with the first pick in the 2004 NFL draft, but later traded Eli to New York for Philip Rivers who the Giants selected with the 4th pick. The move turned Eli’s frown upside down and he now has a super bowl ring, but the argument can be made that Rivers is the better quarterback. Rivers has started every game since becoming the full time starter in 2006, that’s a streak of 80 straight games. He has thrown for 19,661 yards 136 touchdowns and only 58 interceptions while completing 63.7 percent of his passes for a current career quarterback rating of 97.2. Rivers has 3 straight 4,000 + yard seasons, throwing for a career best 4,710 yards in 2010. The Chargers are the favorites every season in the AFC West and have become a sexy pick for the super bowl as well; Phillip Rivers is the reason for that success . With Rivers under center the Chargers have a shot at the Lombardi Trophy every single year.

The Patriots draft Florida defensive tackle Dominique Easley at 29 Darren McFadden Cowboys Jersey
With only two quarterbacks having been drafted, it appeared that the Pats were in prime trade down territory. Trading out of the first round is nothing new for Bill Belichick, who has made a move in every NFL Draft with the Pats other than 2004.
"I really was (surprised) and I was really excited when I saw the Massachusetts number come up on my phone," Easley said. "I’ve been watching the Patriots for a long time. Some players from Staten Island played there and then coach Urban Meyer had a lot of players go to the Patriots. It’s a winning team so I’m real excited."

Easley had an interesting, yet injury prone career, with the Gators. He suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in his freshman season in 2010.
Before the injury, he was considered a top prospect and one of the best defensive linemen in college football. This selection gives the Patriots some insurance in case Vince Wilfork (Achilles) or Tommy Kelly (knee) have problems coming back from their season ending injuries.
"It was discussed somewhat, but I’m just really excited to be a Patriot now," Easley said when asked about his knee. "I’m really just excited to be a Patriot."
Belichick said there were conversations with other teams, but didn’t want Cowboys Darren McFadden Jersey to pass up drafting Easley.
"There’s always conversations, but we felt good about Dominque," Belichick said.
The other players on the depth chart had plenty of question marks as well, which made defensive tackle a must for the Pats. An undisclosed infection kept Armond Armstead out for the season and he remains a mystery. Then you have Chris Jones, Sealver Siliga and Joe Vellano, who were ok last season, but better served as depth guys. Neither of them have the potential as Easley.
The Pats were in need of a defensive tackle who protected as a long term starter and may have found their man. At 6 foot 1, 288 pounds, Easley is considered a versatile player, who can also line up at defensive end. He has shown to explode off the line of scrimmage and plays with a relentless motor.
Of course, the injury history has been the biggest concern surrounding this Staten Island native. The Patriots must have felt the same way because they had their pick at defensive tackle.
Pittsburgh’s Aaron Donald was the first to come off the board, going to the St. Louis Rams at 13. Defensive end Dee Ford got drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs at 23 and then the Philadelphia Eagles, at 26, selected defensive end Marcus Smith, but no other inside tackles were tackle.
The San Diego Chargers have been linked to several defensive tackles throughout the draft process, but they went with cornerback Authentic LeSean McCoy Jersey Jason Verrett at 25.
By the time the Carolina Panthers took wide receiver Kelvin Benajamin, at 28, Belichick had his pick of the litter. Easley has been linked to the Patriots throughout this draft process. He had an official visit with the team on April 22. He also said he spent time with Belichick during Florida’s Pro Day.

The list will vary from person to person based on their favorite team and there is always someone who will feel that their squad is being disrespected by not being included, so I already know that I can’t win. Not every team who won a Super Bowl can be considered among the greatest teams of all time. Greatness is build from the ground up, from the beginning of the regular season to the big game. GREAT. The 1972 Miami Dolphins
The ’72’ Miami Dolphins are the popular choice for the greatest team of all time. Why? They are the only team to go undefeated within an entire NFL season (14 0 Regular Season and 3 0 Postseason), but of course you knew that. That’s because every time a team gets close to breaking the undefeated record, the Media jumps all over it. Honestly, I do get a little sick of hearing the so called experts and the ’72’ Dolphin players brag about how dominant they were, when in fact they had one of the weakest schedules that year. Not one team on the ’72’ Miami Dolphin schedule made the playoffs. As a matter of fact, nine of the fourteen regular season games were against teams with a record under .500. We can’t blame the Dolphins for doing what they were supposed to do, but come on. There is no doubt that the Miami Dolphins are one of the greatest teams of all time, but not the greatest. However, Miami Dolphin fans should be honored that their team is the only team to go 17 0 and win the Super Bowl, because it is unlikely that the record will ever be broken.

The ’99’ St. Louis Rams were the one of the most exciting teams I ever saw. They were dubbed the "Greatest Show on Turf" because of their prolific scoring ability. St. Louis soared through the NFL with a 13 3 regular season record and the most points scored in the league (526). The Rams were led by the former grocery store clerk and an Arena Football League champion Kurt Warner, who became the league MVP in 1999. This team was stacked on offense from top to bottom. Marshall Faulk was still in his prime, Isaac Bruce was considered as one of the elite receivers in the NFL, and Torry Holt was just beginning to reach his full potential. Head Coach Dick Vermeil and his St. Louis Rams won Super Bowl XXXIV (Thirty Four) by beating a tough Tennessee Titan team 23 16.

The New England Patriots 2001 Present
Only time will tell, if the Patriots are done winning Super Bowls. If they are, three titles in four years is impressive. Tom Brady is still young and has a lot of football to play. It’s possible that the Pats can win a couple more before the curtain closes.

What’s the harm in a prom draft
For Jessie Harris, a sophomore at Corona del Mar High School, getting drafted for the prom wasn’t a big deal.
